Scope of this notice

This notice covers the public information pages and editorial resources presented as BDS Portal. It also explains third-party features found on some directory pages. Independent business providers and external platforms operate under their own notices; a link from this portal does not make their practices identical to ours.

Information you choose to send

When you contact the portal by email or telephone, your chosen communication service transmits the information you provide. Send only what is necessary to explain your request. Do not send passwords, payment authentication codes, identity documents or confidential client records in a general enquiry. Messages may need to be retained while a request or correction is being handled; this website does not publish a universal mailbox retention period.

Technical information during a visit

A hosting service receives technical requests needed to deliver a page or image. Depending on the hosting configuration, these can include an IP address, requested URL, time, browser information and error details. Hosting logs and their retention depend on the service used to run the site. This notice does not claim that viewing a static page is anonymous.

Cookies and third-party features

Some restored directory pages contain cookie-preference controls and integrations such as Google Analytics, Google Maps, reCAPTCHA or externally hosted widgets. When such a feature loads, the provider may receive technical information and apply its own cookie or storage practices. New editorial pages serve their article photographs and fonts from the portal’s local asset folders and do not add advertising or analytics tags. External links and business enquiries

Following a provider link or contacting a listed company takes you outside the portal’s information pages. Confirm the recipient, the purpose of your enquiry and the information needed before sharing documents. The portal does not independently verify every provider’s privacy arrangements or promise that a listing is suitable for handling sensitive information.

Requests and corrections

For a privacy-related question about the portal, write to [email protected]. Identify the page or feature involved and describe your concern without including additional sensitive data. Requests about an external service should also be directed to that service. No fixed response period or legal entitlement is invented by this notice.
